Nathan Omanga Ndjekondo

Flight Dispatcher · General AI Fluency Intern

I'm a Flight Operations and Dispatch graduate with a solid foundation in flight planning, meteorology interpretation, and aviation regulation. My work is built on precision: reading a METAR correctly, tracking a NOTAM that actually affects a flight, and knowing when a number needs a second check rather than a guess.

Alongside this technical base, I've spent the past months building fluency in applying AI tools to real dispatch tasks — not as a novelty, but as a way to compress hours of manual triage into a process a human can still fully verify and stand behind. My capstone project, an AI-powered NOTAM/METAR/TAF briefing assistant, is a direct product of that work.

I'm particularly interested in the space between operational judgment and applied AI — understanding where automation genuinely helps a dispatcher move faster, and where it must explicitly step back and flag uncertainty rather than guess.

Outside of aviation and AI, I've spent several years contributing to youth-focused and humanitarian initiatives across the Democratic Republic of Congo and internationally, work that shaped how I think about responsibility, communication, and operating under real constraints.

What I bring to the table

Precision, applied AI, and safety-first judgment

01

Precision & Operational Judgment

Flight planning, METAR/TAF interpretation, NOTAM analysis, and ICAO regulatory compliance, grounded in the discipline of getting the read right the first time.

02

Applied AI Fluency

Designing, testing, and iterating AI-assisted workflows for real dispatch tasks — prompt engineering treated as an engineering discipline, not a one-off trick.

03

Safety-First Systems Thinking

Applying aviation safety culture — flag uncertainty rather than guess — to how AI tools are scoped, bounded, and handed off for human review.
